Not for navigation. Positions, depths and coastlines come from open datasets of varying accuracy; depths are a coarse elevation model, not soundings.

Tile requests tell each provider which area you are viewing; a hidden layer makes none. A place name typed goes to the search provider with the map's centre, to a tenth of a degree. A line's elevation profile reads the depth and height tiles along that line. Your location, when you show it, stays in this page.
Drawings stay in this browser: saved here as you go, never sent anywhere. Download › Drawing (GeoJSON) writes it as a file, with the view, to share or keep it; links do not carry drawings. Labels are written with the map's own fonts, fetched in blocks of characters, never as text. Areas saved for use without a connection (Download › Offline areas) stay in this browser too.
